Sakha Cuisine

Sakha cuisine or Yakut cuisine is the food culture of the Sakha or Yakut people who mainly live in the Sakha region of Russia. The Sakha region is in the northern part of the Russian Far East.

Sakha cuisine is related to Mongolian cuisine and Turkic cuisines. It has been influenced by Russian cuisine as well more recently.

The Sakha language(саха тыла), or Yakut language, is an official language of Republic of Sakha, which is also known as Yakutia.

Yakutsk is a cultural center and one of the coldest cities in the world, if not the coldest. It is built on permafrost with an average temperature well below freezing.
