Kyrgyz Cuisine

Kyrgyz cuisine is the cuisine of the Kyrgyz people, mainly of Kyrgyzstan.

Historically, many Kyrgyz people practiced nomadic or pastoral lifestyles in mountainous areas. Some were agriculturalists. They mainly live in the Tian Shan range, in Kyrgystan. The Osh(Ош) Region is somewhat of a historic Kyrgyz cultural center.

The city of Osh(Ош) is a cultural center.

Horses are very important in Kyrgyz culture. They are an important food source, used for meat and milk.
