Banjar Cuisine
Banjar or Banjarese cuisine is the cuisine of the Banjar people of southern Borneo, mainly in South Kalimantan of Indonesia.
The Banjar people are a subgroup of Malay people related to other Malays. They speak the Banjar or Banjarese language.
Banjarmasin is a cultural center.

One popular fruit is cempedak{artocarpus integer}, related to jackfruit but not as large; the sweet pod flesh is enjoyed and the rind is sometimes used.

- ketupat: steamed rice cake cooked in woven palm leaves
- mandai: pickled cempedak rind
- ketupat kandangan: ketupat served in a flavorful fish curry
- soto banjar: soup with lemongrass and other seasoning
- bingka: small sweet coconut cake
