Konkani cuisine is the cuisine of the Konkani region of coastal western India, mainly in western Maharashtra State.

Rice is a staple ingredient. A variety of fragrant rice known as ambemohar is grown in coastal Maharashtra.
Yellow pigeon pea(toor) and chickpea are popular legumes. The term dal refers to split legumes.
