Jellyfish salad(해파리 냉채 haepari naengchae) is a Korean cold dish made with slices of salted jellyfish, usually cucumber, and a special sauce made with mustard. Additional ingredients can be added, especially seafood and colorful vegetables. Some common additions include crab legs, squid, shrimp, bell pepper, and onion.
Jellyfish(해파리 haepari) is an unusual ingredient. The tops of large ocean jellyfish are preserved with lots of salt then rinsed and drained for use. Naengchae(냉채) refers to dishes served cold and usually meant to be tossed, similar to salad.

Ingredients
- 1 lb salted jellyfish, thoroughly rinsed and drained
- 1 – 2 cucumber, julienned
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- mustard powder
- sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- salt (optional)
Directions
- combine garlic, mustard powder, sugar, vinegar for sauce
- combine jellyfish, cucumber
- mix in sauce
- mix in salt if needed
- serve
