Osaka Castle (大阪城)

Osaka Castle(大阪城) is a major landmark of Japan and an icon of Osaka City. It was originally built in the sixteenth century and has gone through many significant conflicts, ultimately becoming a symbol of Japan’s unification.

Surrounded by an inner and outer moat, the restored castle now makes up a park and historic site among business districts in the heart of Osaka. Many places in and around the park offer wonderful views of the castle, especially when the cherry trees blossom.
